WEST VIRGINIA PUBLIC RADIO "MUSIC FROM THE MOUNTAINS" host JOE DOBBS exits the show after 25 years, according to the CHARLESTON GAZETTE.
DOBBS, who owns a music shop in ST. ALBANS, WV, told the GAZETTE, "Twenty-five years is long enough, The older you get the more you realize your priorities, and you realize you won’t live forever and that you should do the things that are important to you," which for the 72-year-old DOBBS includes playing music and writing as well as running the shop. The station will air reruns over the summer while considering a replacement.
