WVAH audio
Since Friday night, I've been operating on 5k generator power at Harman Estates, which is enough for a little heat, a little light, and a 19" Samsung HD tv on antenna. But Sunday night, when I was trying for a little normalcy with Family Guy, I kept losing audio. It would occur during the breaks - when they went from local back to the network feed, it was like something was breaking synch, and the audio would go off. If I changed channels, then immediately changed back, the audio would return. Tech heads, what's going on?

Re: WVAH audio
Power frequency or rf interference from genset freaking out the ATSC decoder?
Something as a simple voltage-drop from
my small electric heater will freak out my OTA and cause the tv to re-buffer.

Re: WVAH audio
transmitter could have had icing issues, the heaters on said transmitter kicking on and off could do something as well maybe......

Good thought, Cameron, I'll put the computer UPS on it. Not going to use that until there's commercial power. The timing was very interesting - it seemed to do it every time they went from local breaks back to the network.
Also discovered that the UHF antenna that I was storing in the attic lets me receive all the local stations, even from Elkview.

Re: WVAH audio
My home power is stable, at least to the naked eye... But my crashes, freezes, and reboots stopped the day I added a UPS. I'd recommend one on any production machine.
