Anybody know where Cable County is ???

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

Let me use the 100th post in this thread to say how thrilled I am that I started a thread that grew to 100 posts.

Alright. Now go deeper into it. When you were in those big markets how were you able to have success without that basic knowledge? Were you part of morning team as a sidekick? Did you have your own show that was being carried by other dayparts? Was it one of those things where you thought you could come to the "boondocks" and WOW all the "local yokels?"

What do you mean by "being consistent?"

Again, I'm not asking this stuff to embarass you or anything of that nature. I'm trying to learn something here.

You shouldn't be embarassed anyway. Everybody goes through the learning process. It never ends. I keep learning new things all the time and it's been over twenty years. There was a time when I thought diary holders had their books for the entire three month ratings period. At one time I was convinced that playing the music I thought was cool was a sure fire ratings grabber. I could go on and on about shit I was wrong about.

I was doing a ton of stand up at the time and I was just sitting in as a side kick a couple days a week. I would walk in, they would throw me some headphones and just go at the mic. I had no idea of what all went into the whole radio show. When I say being consistent I mean having a staff that follows the same game plan.

I forget - I think some guy was complaining about his cable service.

The theaters on Southridge still have a commercial before the movies where the announcer mispronounces Kanawha.

Hey Mark, you're right. They do, Mark. Good observation.... Mark.

Mark's hit the nail on the head about the Marquee commercials. Well done... Mark.

Whoever he is, he looks foreign. And we're uncomfortably close.

No offense taken, Zak! My admonishment was to simply give me enough time to take cover before the vitriol began to fly!

It seems Spike was hiding something in that frame picture on the wall. After some CSI'ing I found it:
