WVXS / Romney ... WQWV / Fisher

If it's about broadcasting, radio, TV, satellite, cable, this is where to talk about it.

WVXS / Romney ... WQWV / Fisher

Post by JKF18 »

South Branch Career and Technical Center's WVXS - Romney, WV has dumped classic country for rock, as "Maverick Rock 104".

It appears to still be satellite formatted. Perhaps the WW1 Rock 2.0?

This is the longtime home of the WV School for the Deaf And Blind, until they sold it to the current licensee a few years ago. Before the WW1 automated classic country format, they had a fairly primitive local cart machine automation that broadcasted classic country and travel information.

Also in the area, Thunder Associates WQWV in Fisher dumped the "Jack" format from its previous syndicator, for the new generic variety hits format as simply "V103.7"

Wasn't this frequency originally owned, or had something to do with the former WVAQ morning legend Eric McGuire numerous years ago?
