Tom Syner

Post by genlock »

Thomas "Tommy" Christopher Syner, 56, of Edmond, WV, gained his Heavenly wings on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at his residence.
Born April 16, 1966, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Joseph Benton and Linda Lee Burns Syner.
Tommy was a 1985 graduate from Midland Trail High School, Owner and broadcaster of the The River 107.7 and WZTS TV. His greatest joy was being able to broadcast high school athletics and town festivals. Tom Syner provided local informational shows. "Doc Talk" provides ever-changing details of the COVID-19 pandemic and other healthcare needs. "The West Virginia Capitol Report" is an unbiased political news program that has aired for nearly a decade, interviewing the decision makers from the West Virginia State Capitol, keeping West Virginians informed of what is happening at the State Capitol. He was able to bring our community together through live broadcasts, local programming, such as high school ball games, small town festivals, and graduations. He loved being able to go on adventures with his family especially his little grand kids who thought he was the best pop pops in the world.
He is preceded in death by brother, John Syner.
Those left to cherish his wonderful and loving memory include his adoring wife, Shari Spangler Syner; children, Christopher Syner (Julie), Kelli Bowyer (Ryan), Amanda Syner, and Zachary Syner; grandchildren who were the apple of his eye Christopher Syner II and Tyler Syner; brother, Joe Syner (Kristi); sister, Debbie Fox (Paul); sister in law, Stephanie Syner; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Oak Hill with Dr. Charles Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Nutall Cemetery in Edmond, WV.
Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

Shocking news; just goes to show how quickly it can be taken away. He was riding the tide in southern WV with his little AM and lots of translators.
